Yesterday, firstly Dropbox, and later Google Drive were blocked in Turkey. Then OneDrive and Github also came into the list of blocked platforms. The largest online storage and file sharing platforms have been blocked in Turkey.
As our team in Turkey reached us with the news that Google Drive’s blockage has released finally. However, other platforms, such as OneDrive, DropBox and GitHub are still having trouble in Turkey.
Turks, immediately turn back to VPN system once the government announced that those online platforms will be blocked. Moreover, Turkish people are twitting a lot about this blockage to stop it as soon as possible (it means, NOW!).
TURKEY has blocked access to Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive and GitHub popular on mobile phones as well as in education, business, legal and press industries, following the leak of a set of private emails allegedly belonging to Minister Albayrak by hacktivist group Redhack.
We are waiting for good news from Turkey to release the blockage for the largest file sharing platforms.
Until then, Turks will be using VPN system to reach those platforms.
